Polypropylene Honeycomb Panels

Thermoplastic polypropylene honeycomb panels are a widely accepted new lightweight fiberglass composite sandwich material. Since its invention, it has attracted the attention of various industries. It is made of thermoplastic skin material – CFRT (continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic) sheet and thermoplastic core material – PP (polypropylene) honeycomb through thermal lamination.

CFRT Sheet

The surface of the CFRT sheet is covered with a protective film to enhance its anti-scratch performance and provide aesthetic effects.
The middle layer consists of multiple layers of UD tapes laid in different directions. (usually 2~3 layers)
The non-woven fabric at the bottom allows it to be well combined with other material systems.

Continuous glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite sheet and thermoplastic polypropylene honeycomb core are fused together under heat and pressure, forming a strong and durable composite panel after cooling.

UV Protection Treatment of Polypropylene Honeycomb Panels

Polymers will slowly weather in their own state, becoming brittle, losing strength, fading, and ultimately completing their service life.
